How employees feel about their company and how you treat them makes all the difference in a business. If you’re going to be successful, you better put people first.
When I became a mom, it was literally no longer negotiable. Kids and families come first. And over our 11 years as a company, I’ve tried in lots of different ways to make work work for people.
Today, with the commitment, help, and vision of each and every one of our staff, we’re getting it right. The Leadership Team and I are always working hard to ensure we are the place smart and capable people want to work. Someone out there noticed.

Us. Trying to play it cool.

A bad photo of the very-hard-to-photograph-but-very-beautiful award.
But equally important to me was the evening I spent glitterizing boxes and writing personal notes on a card prepping for a grand donut hole delivery operation the Leadership Team undertook to celebrate this award. Each and every Hello staff member received a hand-delivered box of donut holes and a note of thanks. Oh, and FYI, one of our staff members has 4 kids who she says become very obedient every time a Hello gift arrives. I couldn’t imagine making kids share such a treat or someone going without. And so everyone got 6! Plenty to share. 🙂

One THFer commented, “On horrible Paleo diet so I can fit into my shorts from last year and this little gift arrived. Guess I better take one for the team!”
Interestingly, that alone is a small window into how we operate at Hello. Every Hello family member matters.
Thank you to When Work Works and to the entire Hello family, near and far, for the affirmation we are doing a good job striving to take care of our staff.
