There is nothing more motivating to me than directly helping people. Kids are unique in that they are so shapeable and have such potential. This makes working with them particularly rewarding. In elementary school, I saw a wonderful SLP that helped me master the “s” sound. Having this first-hand experience at such a formative age left a lasting impression. I’m still that same person, and getting to work with kids that don’t fit into the box continues to motivate and inspire me.
