Brittni Jones PROF

Brittni Jones, School Psychologist,

When I first learned about school psychology, what drew me to it was the process of uncovering hidden barriers for children that were causing struggles (academically, behaviorally, or socially), and then developing interventions to help them succeed. As a research assistant in the University of Oregon Brain Development Lab, I was able to see firsthand the benefits of early intervention on children at the brainwave level, and this inspired me. Several years later, as a parent of a child with a disability, I experience job satisfaction when I help parents feel heard, supported, or help them get access to services that they may not have otherwise for their child. I also find tremendous value in being a trusted adult for students who need someone to turn to.
