Our 2008 Costa Rica Trip

April 26, 2010 BY Sharon Soliday, CCC-SLP

We are committed to providing superior service to children.

Sometimes that happens a little farther away than our neighborhood school.

After a year of planning, a team of 10 speech pathologists flew to Liberia, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, to work in the region’s school for children with disabilities.

The staff were so welcoming and thrilled to share and learn for the benefit of children. The school serves children from infancy thru young adulthood. We marveled at the skill and resourcefulness of every staff member. We were humbled by the efforts families made to transport children hours to attend school for the chance to learn.

We believe and hope our small efforts result in concentric circles of meaningful service and a foundation for continued growth and learning.

Most delightful? To hear in Spanish, Hello.
