Clinic COVID-19 Update

March 23, 2020 BY Kelly C. Bawden, MS, CCC-SLP

Hello, Clinic Family!

It’s been a tough week for us all, but we’re happy to report a few bright spots as we work hard to find ways to serve you and your family during this truly unprecedented time.

But first, a less-than-bright spot: we are extending our closure through April 28th, 2020. We are doing this to align with the public schools in the state. The health and wellbeing of our families, children, Hello team and our greater community are of the utmost importance to us and we thank you for your understanding.

And now, the good news: we will be shifting as many of our appointments as possible to online sessions beginning in April. We will be providing parent coaching, activity suggestions, direct therapy, caregiver training, group therapy, and so much more. Services will be available for the following clients:

  • In-network online speech therapy for our Kaiser, MODA, BCBS, and private pay clients.
  • In-network online occupational therapy for our MODA, BCBS, and private pay clients, with the hope that Kaiser will soon be an option.

There are exceptions to this coverage and we will try to help you navigate them with your insurance company. If your insurance is not listed above, please know that insurers are making changes to their telemedicine coverage daily. We are monitoring the situation closely and will keep you updated as we learn of expansions in coverage.

If you haven’t tried teletherapy with us yet, our staff is on hand to answer questions and speak with you about possible therapy options. Please reach out if you have any questions. It’s a brave new world out there and our aim is to continue to support you as best we can. Sending you all warmth, and please know that even though we can’t be together in physical space, we’re always with you in spirit.
