An April 2020 Update from The Hello Clinic

April 20, 2020 BY Alice Jeske, CCC-SLP

It’s been just about a month since we last posted an update, and we’ve come a long way since then! In the past few weeks, all aspects of our personal and community lives have shifted and we’ve all settled a bit into this “new normal.” As we move forward in this changing environment, we are finding new ways to connect with and grow our clinic family.

Although in-person therapy sessions are canceled for the rest of the 2019-20 school year, we are now providing online service and parent training to over 60 of our speech and OT families! Thank you to all the families who have adapted to online therapy. It has been wonderful connecting with our clients in their own environments, meeting their pets, and finding new ways to provide support and encouragement. Our team is also beginning to offer online evaluations and to bring on new clients.

In the coming weeks, we hope to extend follow-up support to those who are not ready or able to take advantage of online services. We understand that life has changed and this is really hard for many families. We are here for you, just as we always have been.

Finally, we continue to check the clinic voicemail and our emails frequently. If you would like more information about what we can do for you and your child, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

This summer we will follow state and national guidelines for resuming in-person settings at The Hello Clinic. We are still determining what in-person therapy will look like in the future and will share information with you when it is available. The health and wellbeing of our families, children, Hello team and our greater community are of the utmost importance to us and we thank you for your understanding.
