The Hello Story

In 2005 I had to make a choice: dropping off my six-year old daughter at school or being at my SLP job.

I believe kids come first. So I left my job and started this business. And walked my daughter to class every day.
    — Sharon Soliday, founder, CEO and advocate for children

Our Hello community has grown to now include thousands of individuals and families that share our beliefs and have benefitted from the stake we put in the ground. Our values drive our business. Because yes, we’re professionals (some of the best you will ever meet, in fact) but we’re also moms and dads, aunts and uncles, sons and daughters. We’re community. And dreaming a bigger dream for someone else matters.

In Schools

We are SLPs, SLPAs, OTs, and school psychologists dedicated to celebrating perseverance, tenacity, and hard work

School districts across the Western states have been depending on The Hello Foundation to provide high-quality specialists since 2005. We offer flexible onsite and telepractice solutions to long- and short-term coverage needs, including our unique Hello There hybrid teletherapy model.

The Clinic

We are speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists who are passionate about serving and supporting families

The speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists of The Hello Clinic work with children, teens, and adults to address all types of communication and sensory challenges. Using in-office therapy in Beaverton, online therapy anywhere in the country, or a hybrid of the two, we specially tailor our services to your exact needs.

There is nothing more gratifying than helping another experience an “Aha!” moment. That moment when something clicks and a light bulb turns on. Experiencing those moments, and helping another understand how this new knowledge can be meaningful to their life is what truly drives me.

Everything you ever wanted is on the other side of fear, so says George Addair. And it’s true. I have built my company to build bridges for thousands of children. And at moments it was terrifying. But despite any moment of trepidation, I could always close my eyes and imagine the small hand of my five year old daughter clasping mine on the walk to school. I started this company to have the freedom to walk her to school. But I built this company recognizing children needed an advocate. And parents working for me needed to have their own children valued, too. Building bridges is about moving someone from here to further down the road. And that’s what we do at Hello. We each take someone’s to take the hand to walk them to where they need to go.

OUR CORE VALUES: 4 SIMPLE IDEAS THAT GUIDE EVERYTHING WE DO

We put kids first in every decision we make. We believe that centering kids helps to lower the stress often associated with working in and engaging with the helping professions. Less stress means more energy to spend on the specialized needs of the kids we serve.

Our specialists strive to provide the highest quality service to each child, district, and family they serve. Our company strives to provide the highest quality service to each specialist we employ. Our team is the best in the business, and we invest in them so that they can invest in kids.

The adage “put your own oxygen mask on first,” is essential to our work. We support our staff both professionally and personally, at work and at play, because it is only a happy, healthy specialist that can authentically show up for the kids and families they serve.

We believe when we give of ourselves to our wider community, we gain a foundation of gratitude onto which our business and our clinicians can build. When we work from a place of gratitude, our hearts and minds are open to the brightest possibilities for the children we serve.
