The Dougy Center is a center based in Portland, OR and providing training, materials and support nationwide for supporting children and their families through grieving and dealing with death. Their website is rich with information and they’ve recently published an activity book for children and teens called Memories Matter. The activities presented encourage children to use different modes of expression such as writing, drawing, talking, and movement. This may be an appropriate tool to support communication goals, or it may be a good recommendation to others working with students with Communication Disorders in your setting.
