Kim Lewis, M.Ed., CCC-SLP talks about how perfectionism is an unattainable goal and makes a great distinction between striving for perfectionism, versus striving for excellence.

One of my summer reads was ‘The Gifts of Imperfection’ by Berne Brown.  Brown spent years researching shame before turing to her own journey of wholehearted living and I liked her idea that imperfections are not inadequacies but “reminders that we are all in this together.”
